Summer Update
Cancer Bracelet Sale:
To
date we have sold all but 9 bracelets and made a
profit of $738.00. We will use part of the
proceeds to order more for a second sale in the
fall. I will order them before the dealership
open house on September 25th.
Leslie has agreed to organize a sale at that
event.
Fall
Meeting Information:
As in
years past, we are taking a break from formal
meetings over the summer. We will have a
“meeting”, and I use the term very loosely, at
our Winery ride on September 12th.
All LOH members, and their significant others,
will be invited to join us for a visit to
several of our favorite wineries. We will leave
the Sheetz on Buffalo Road at 12:00 and wind up
at Noble Winery for dinner around 4:00PM. I
have discovered that the Tall Ships festival
ends that day as well, so we may get a view of
them from Noble. More info and RSVP request
will follow later in the summer.
MDA
Wrap-up Information:
Special thanks goes out to Marie & Jim Catrabone
for their efforts with the wine baskets for the
MDA poker run. Also, thank you to all who
participated in the “wine run”, basket making,
donation gathering, tip board and game sales.
For our efforts, we made $2395.75 from the
games, tip boards and wine basket sales.
That’s enough to send 3-4 kids to camp for a
week!! I’m sure the total number (including
this tally) will be listed elsewhere in this
newsletter.
